The LifeSaver Software system’s Closing Reports give you key details about how your store has performed, how much to deposit at the bank, your pick lists, and your receivables. Keep reading to see how this report can help your business stay on top of important financial details.

From the Home page, click the Reports button. On the Store Reporting page, click Closing to see a list of available reports.

Closing Reports Major Functions
As with your standard reports, your Closing reports all have the following functions:

- Back Button – This button will take you back to the Store Reporting page.
- Date Range – Enter the Start Date and End Date you need, then click the View Report button to load the data for that period.
- Navigation – If the report has multiple pages of data, you can use the arrows to go all the way to the beginning or end page (outer arrows), to the previous or next page (inner arrows), or you can enter the page you want to go to in the page number field.
- Refresh – If your report data might have changed since you loaded the page, or if you just want to reload to the initial view, click the Refresh button.
- Return to Parent Report – If the report you’re viewing is loaded from a parent report, the Return to Parent Report will take you back to that page. If there is no parent report, this button will not be active.
- Zoom – Using this control, you can set the Zoom level for the report’s viewing window. This feature does not enlarge the actual viewing window and will only control the zoom level within the frame below the control header.
- Save / Export – Click this button to download an Excel file, PDF document, or CSV spreadsheet of the report data. This function will export all pages of data.
- Print – Click the Print button to send a print of all report data to a browser print window. You will also see a window that will allow you to download a PDF file of the output. All pages of the report will print by default.
- Search – You can search by keyword or numeric data for anything in the report. Click Find to jump to the first search match. Click Next to jump to the next one until you find what you need.
The Closing Summary Report
This report is long and detailed. The first section of the report is described for you below:

Header Information
The Closing Summary report header area gives year to date earnings and last year’s earnings information as well as important financial metrics for the period you’re viewing. It gives you the following data:
- The Date Range you selected.
- The Gross Dollars Received Month to Date, Total Dollars Received to Date Last Year, Gross Dollars This Year to Date, and Last Year’s Gross Dollars Year to Date.
- The Total Bank Deposit for the selected date range, the Total Credit Card Deposit, and the Total Bank and Credit Card Deposits for the reported date range.
- The Total Receivables as of the final day in the date range, Total Value of All Orders in the date range, and the Total Discounts Given for the date range.

Orders Paid in Full Information
The Closing Summary report details orders paid in full for the period you’re viewing. It gives you the following data:
- The Dollar Value Total of Sold Merchandise (less tax) and the Dollar Value Total of Billed Labor (less tax).
- The Total Amount Collected on Orders (Merchandise + Labor, less tax), and the Total Tax Amount Collected on Jobs.
- The Subtotal Collections and Tax (c & d in the image above), Less Prior Deposits, Plus Received On Account, gives you the Total Receipts for this Report (e - f + g in the image above).
- The Total Value of Paid Tax-Exempt Orders is also listed.

Orders Summary Information
The Closing Summary report details orders written the period you’re viewing. It gives you the following data:
- The Dollar Value Total of Merchandise (less tax) and the Dollar Value Total of Labor (less tax).
- The Total Dollar Value of Orders (Merchandise + Labor, less tax), and the Total Tax Amount on Orders.
- The Subtotal of Orders and Tax (l & m in the image above).
- The Total Value of Tax-Exempt Orders is also listed.

Payment Summary Information
The Closing Summary report details payments for the period you’re viewing. It gives you the following data:
- The Total Value of Merchandise (less tax) and the Total Value of Labor (less tax).
- The Total Value of Payments (Merchandise + Labor, less tax), and the Total Tax Amount of All Payments.
- The Total Payments with Tax (r & s in the image above).
- The Total Value of Tax-Exempt Orders is also listed.
- The value of the orders written by your employees is summarized at the bottom, with the name of the Salesperson, Value of Orders Written, Percentage of Total for each salesperson, and the Number of Orders Written.
The Pick List Report
The Pick List report shows you materials needed for your orders and allows you to filter by Work Order Number in the Start of Work Order Range and End of Work Order Range fields shown below. You can Include Older Orders That Were Revised, if needed. You can filter by Order Status (the Select All option is shown below). The Pick List report also has several Report Types, each showing unique data: view By Customer, Moulding By Vendor, Mat By Vendor, Fabric By Vendor, or All Materials By Vendor.
Pick List By Customer

The Pick List report has a By Customer view showing the materials you’ll need for each customer. It gives you the following data:
- The top of the report displays the Store Name, Address, and Phone, the Date you ran the report, and the range of Order Numbers included.
- The Customer Name in Last Name, First Name format.
- The Work Order Number, Revision Number, and the Date Ordered.
- The Quantity of items in the order and whether it is Done or not.
- The Moulding item name, Moulding Bin, and Length.
- The Mat / Fabric name, Mat Bin, and Mat Size.
- The Glass name used for glazing, any Special type of mount, and the Art name.
- The Due Date and whether or not the order was given a Rush prioritization.
- In the lower left the Page Number you’re viewing will display.
Pick List Moulding By Vendor View

The Pick List report has a Moulding by Vendor view showing the mouldings you’ll need from each vendor. It gives you the following data:
- The top of the report displays the Store Name, Address, and Phone, the Date you ran the report, and the range of Order Numbers included.
- The Customer Name in Last Name, First Name format.
- The Work Order Number, Revision Number, and the Date Ordered.
- The Quantity of items in the order and whether it is Done or not.
- The Moulding item name, Moulding Bin, and Length.
- The Unit of Measure name, Unit Cost, Ext Cost, and Size.
- The Due Date and Vendor name.
- Below each vendor’s section is a Subtotal for the moulding materials for the vendor.
- Below the final vendor’s section will be that vendor’s subtotal. Each page will display totals for each vendor for moulding materials.
- In the lower left the Page Number you’re viewing will display.
Pick List Mat By Vendor View

The Pick List report has a Mat by Vendor view showing the mats you’ll need from each vendor. It gives you the following data:
- The top of the report displays the Store Name, Address, and Phone, the Date you ran the report, and the range of Order Numbers included.
- The Customer Name in Last Name, First Name format.
- The Work Order Number, Revision Number, and the Date Ordered.
- The Quantity of items in the order and whether it is Done or not.
- The Mat item name, Mat Bin, and Size.
- The Cost, Due Date, and Vendor name.
- Below each vendor’s section is a Subtotal for the mat materials for the vendor.
- Below the final vendor’s section will be that vendor’s subtotal, and a Total across all vendors for moulding materials.
- In the lower left the Page Number you’re viewing will display.
Pick List Fabric By Vendor View

The Pick List report has a Fabric by Vendor view showing the mats you’ll need from each vendor. It gives you the following data:
- The top of the report displays the Store Name, Address, and Phone, the Date you ran the report, and the range of Order Numbers included.
- The Customer Name in Last Name, First Name format.
- The Work Order Number, Revision Number, and the Date Ordered.
- The Quantity of items in the order and whether it is Done or not.
- The Fabric item name, Fabric Bin, and Size.
- The Cost, Due Date, and Vendor name.
- Below each vendor’s section is a Subtotal for the mat materials for the vendor.
- Below the final vendor’s section will be that vendor’s subtotal, and a Total across all vendors for moulding materials.
- In the lower left the Page Number you’re viewing will display.
Pick List All Materials By Vendor View

The Pick List report has an All Materials by Vendor view showing the materials you’ll need from each vendor. It gives you the following data:
- The top of the report displays the Store Name, Address, and Phone, the Date you ran the report, and the range of Order Numbers included.
- The Customer Name in Last Name, First Name format.
- The Work Order Number, Revision Number, and the Date Ordered.
- The Quantity of items in the order and whether it is Done or not.
- The Material item name, Bin, and Description.
- The Amount of the material, Unit of Measure, Unit Cost, Ext Cost, and Size.
- The Due Date and Vendor name.
- Below each vendor’s section is a Subtotal for the moulding materials for the vendor.
- Below the final vendor’s section will be that vendor’s subtotal, and a Total across all vendors for moulding materials.
- In the lower left the Page Number you’re viewing will display.
The Receivables Report
The Receivables report shows you amounts your customers owe the store for work you are doing. The report header displays the day you ran the report, the Receivables Date Range, the Total Invoiced Value for the period, and the Total Receivables amount across all customers for the period.

The Receivables report lists customer balances for each customer. It gives you the following data:
- The Customer Name and Phone Number.
- The Order Date, Due Date, Invoice Number, and Revision Number for all invoices active for each customer for the date range selected.
- The original dollar Total of the order and the current Balance the customer owes.
- The Description of the order.
- At the bottom of the Total and Balance columns is the Subtotal for each column for the customer.

Q: Is the Closing Summary report automatically saved?
A: The report displays your data dynamically. You should click the Export icon or Print button if you want a permanent copy of the report.
Q: Can I run the Closing Summary report for past date ranges?
A: Yes. Simply select your desired start and end dates. The system will present your historical data for that specific period.
Q: Why do I see a work order listed twice in the summary?
A: If you have revised the same order multiple times, you may see separate entries for each revision depending on which Financial Group you use.
